Brendan O'Morchoe, Director of Pro-Life Future Brendan O'Morchoe

Brendan was hired in 2011 as the National Director of Field Operations for Students for Life of America (SFLA), leading the field program and the almost 800 pro-life student groups across the nation. In almost three years as Director of Field Operations, the field team started 233 campus pro-life groups and trained thousands of students in pro-life activism and leadership.

As part of the growth of the Field Program, Brendan has led teams of volunteer activists to stand for Life in communities across the country such as Austin and Albuquerque. Under his leadership, the Field Team learned to mobilize pro-life students into the battles where they are needed most, making clear differences in changing hearts, changing minds and saving lives.

In the spring of 2015, Brendan transferred into his new role as Director of Pro-Life Future, a new division of Students for Life for young, pro-life adults, and alumni of Students for Life groups. Pro-Life Future launched in April, 2015 and starts chapters of young adults in cities across America, continuing the work they have accomplished in high school and college, and bringing it out into the community. He travels the country starting Pro-Life Future chapters, and training and inspiring pro-life leaders to take a stand for Life in their communities. He also speaks on topics such as social justice, activism strategies, Planned Parenthood, leadership, and the role of men in the pro-life movement.

Brendan got started in the pro-life movement while a student at Fordham University in New York City, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy with a minor in political science. For two years, Brendan served as President of Fordham Respect for Life, transforming the club into a major factor on campus and in the Bronx community, pushing to create a Culture of Life across New York City. For his work at Fordham, Brendan was recognized by SFLA as the 2010 National Pro-Life Activist of the Year.

After working for the Boy Scouts of America, Brendan came back to pro-life work because he couldn’t sit idly by while the injustice of abortion continued around him. He is committed to seeing the day that abortion is illegal and unthinkable and looks forward to living in a nation where no woman feels that abortion is her only option.
