Missy Stone, National Field Director
Missy became involved with the pro-life movement when she was just 14, when she first began volunteering with Rock for Life. She became instantly passionate about the issue of abortion. As a Hispanic woman, she saw the devastation of abortion in the Latin community and decided to take a stand. She earned a Certificate of Ministry from Hillsong Leadership College in Sydney, Australia and attended the University of Southern Mississippi upon returning from abroad. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors in Political Science and a minor in Spanish.
Since joining the Students for Life team in January of 2013 as the National High School Program Coordinator, Missy has helped more than double our student groups in public and private high schools all over the nation. She launched our first ever Thaddeus Stevens Fellowship for our high school leaders, hosted our first ever High School Leadership Summit at our 2014 National Conference, and has helped create high school specific resources for our students. She is certified with the National Abstinence Education Associates as a Sexual Risk Avoidance educator and has incorporated the abstinence message into our high school program. Missy has traveled the country, working with almost 300 high school groups, training and equipping them to be revolutionary pro-life activists.
Missy played a vital part in planning our strike forces this past year in Austin, TX and Albuquerque, NM, surrounding the passing of pro-life legislation. She is SFLA’s official spokesperson on the ground and has been featured in the New York Times, as well as many other media outlets.
Missy has been a keynote speaker at events such as the Texas Rally for Life, St. Augustine March for Life, and other pro-life conferences.
Missy lives in Spotsylvania, VA with her rockstar husband Aaron of the band My Epic and their pit bull Mary Puppins.
