Ruben Verastigui, Digital Media Coordinator
Ruben Verastigui came to Students for Life of America at 18 years old as an intern apart of our Missionary for Life program in 2012. He later become SFLA’s graphic designer and now at the age of 22 is SLFA’s Digital Media Coordinator.
Ruben has a degree in Art with a concentration in Digital Art and also founded and was the president of his college’s pro-life group for three years. He has interned and worked for national organizations such as Live Action, the Susan B. Anthony List, the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, Texas Right to Life and the Alice Paul Group. Ruben made history in 2013 as the first person to ever speak for and represent the youth of the pro-life movement at the national March for Life in Washington, D.C., in 40 years. Where there were 650,000 people in attendance.
Ruben is proud born and raised Texan. You can usually find him wondering the streets looking for new places to explore and taking photographs. He has a huge obsession with coffee shops and frequently goes to antique shops on the hunt for vintage picture frames that he collects.
Ruben hopes to empower young people to be a voice in the movement and to see abortion abolished in his life time.
